Green Grads Grab #1
Welcome to a new series at Green Grads. Previously I had called this segment ‘Legal Funnies’ but I’ve decided to expand it to include stuff that isn’t really funny, but is interesting or just plain cool.
So lets get started.

Matthew Homann often writes about innovative ways to get the best out of your legal self. If you’re still a student then make sure you take a look at this list before you head off to any career information / networking events.
2. A Master List of Free Online Language Lessons
I’ve always been jealous of the people who could speak a second language. Now I can learn one from the comfort of my own iPod without paying a cent! We’re not quite at the spike-to-the-brain thingy in The Matrix yet, but still, pretty handy.
3. Self Control Blocks Internet Distractions with Brute Force
Sometimes I have the self discipline to put email / Twitter / MSN away and get stuck into whatever project has made it’s way to the top of my to do list. For all the other times I now have this Self Control program :)
It’s OSX only, but if you’re running a Mac then definitely give it a go. It’s very helpful.
4. Lawyer Sues Playboy for Harassment
“A Chicago divorce lawyer who put up billboards around Chicago showing her in skimpy black lingerie and who then posed nude and wrote a legal advice column for Playboy is now suing Playboy for sexual harassment.”
Well. How about that.
5. Career Alternaties for Attorneys: The WWE
So just keep that in mind. If you’ve been laid off, or perhaps you’re struggling to find work after finishing your degree – a law degree opens doors, man. Behind some of those doors will be hairless giants wearing masks and latex pants. And really big belts.
I never really understood the belts.
