Ask Grad Girl: Networked Out
Hi Grad Girl,

Typography for Lawyers

Last Saturday registration opened for Facebook vanity URLs. Vanity URLs are special URL addresses (eg. http://www.blah.com) that contain a special name that you have chosen for yourself. So instead of being http://www.facebook.com/aljfatte/ you could become http://www.facebook.com/john.smith

I Don’t Wanna Work. I Just Want to Bang on the Keyboard All Day.
We’ve all been here. Study week, exams looming, textbooks open and a blank stare at an empty Word document. Procrastination sucks, slowly. This article discusses ways to get out of Struggletown and not suprisingly it comes to the conclusion that the best [...]

Tuesday Transcript: Mutant Death and Justice Bell
When judges leave and join the superior courts, it is traditional for the various professional bodies to say a few words reflecting on their Honour’s career and expressing their best wishes. So, recently, Justice Bell has been farewelled from the NSW Supreme Court and welcomed to the High Court of Australia.
Mr Macken, in his farewell [...]

Ask Grad Girl #1 – Sans Halo
Hi Grad Girl,
I’m in my final year of my law degree and I’m a bit scared about what is going to happen next year. I’ve been applying for clerkships and putting my name and resume out there but it looks like the current law firms are struggling to keep the staff they’ve got – and [...]
