Green Grads: About
Green Grads is essentially a blog (or blawg) for youngins’ within the Australian legal industry. Created by volunteer law students and young lawyers, Green Grads aims to be a meeting point for people who have just entered, or are about to enter, the legal profession.
Green Grads readers (hereafter known as ‘Members of the Green Grads Community’, because we law-peeps always need a properly defined term) are welcome to contribute to the discussion via comments, the forums or their own articles.
F.A.Q.
What is Green Grads?
Green Grads is an internet community for law students and young legal graduates in Australia.
What has Green Grads done for me lately?
Very little. But it’s the thought that counts, right?
What is Green Grads planning to do for me?
Green Grads isn’t about selling a product or a service and it isn’t about ‘doing’ anything for anyone, really. Green Grads is an internet community. It is a place for people of like minded interests to discuss issues that are affecting them. Law students, young lawyers and even people considering law school should all feel are encouraged to join the discussion and contribute in whatever way they feel comfortable.
How can I contribute to Green Grads?
The easiest way is to leave a comment on an article or join the discussion on the forums (coming soon!) Those people who wish to become more involved can write an article, a series of articles or can work with some of our current contributors to write on an article together.
There are no specific requirements to write an article on Green Grads. Law student authors are welcomed and appreciated in the same way that professionals are. Authors simply need to be able to write reasonably well and bring a unique insight to a relevant issue.
Is this a paid gig, or what?
Currently, Green Grads does not pay any of its authors. We are run entirely by volunteers and funded by donations. This means that we are not able to pay any of our authors for the articles that they may submit.
At some point, Green Grads may pimp itself out to advertisements or some other form of business model. However that is a bridge we are yet to cross. So you better get in now before we are forced to sell out and go commercial.
How can I contact the Green Grads crew?
Emails can be sent to author’s individually by clicking on the relevant link in on their bio page.
You can also email the entire team — green grads dot australia at gmail dot com (take that, nasty spam bots).
